Realistic Anatomical ModEL (RAM) Phantoms
The members of the Biomagnetics Lab at VCU have developed novel polymer composite conductive material and a process to fabricate a personalized brain phantom for neuromodulation based on rapid prototyping and anatomically realistic brain models that have been protected by a US patent (US11373552B2) on human and a provisional patent (HAD-21-068) on rodents. We have been approached by 2 major medical companies, who are interested in the phantoms, in addition to several inquiries from research laboratories to buy/license these phantoms. Additional testing on other neuromodulation techniques by embedding stretchable, conformal electrodes is currently in progress.
